Improving health through physical activity

Healthy living in our Gym

Exercising in the gym

We support a number of initiatives primarily aimed at people who have health conditions which would benefit from regular physical activity. A collaboration between Richmond Local Authority, Hounslow Primary Care Trust, local medical professionals, and local leisure facilities, this scheme provides various physical activity opportunities for people of all abilities and fitness levels.
These schemes are undergoing change at present, but in the interim we are still accepting exercise referrals.

The Cambrian Centre is proud to be the only independent centre involved in offering these schemes to local people through our Community Gym.

Exercise Referral

GPs, physiotherapists and other health professionals are able to refer people with health /medical conditions to a 12 week programme at local leisure facilities for supervised, regular physical activity as part of a recovery program. (Under review - contact us).

Exercise referral is offered at the Cambrian Centre Gym operating with instructors fully trained in the prescription of activities for referral patients.

Cost: £80 for 12 weeks or £3.60 per session.

The Cambrian Centre contact for referral information is: 020 8332 1102

The program lasts 12 weeks after which time you can join the gym on a subscription or pay as you go basis
