We were delighted to hear that Simon Klein our wonderful drawing tutor has recently been awarded two prestigious prize for his art. Simon has won the Pith sketchbook Award 2025 and the Pastel Society Award 2025 for his recent exhibition at the Mall Gallery London. Richard Rees president of the society commented on the award, “talented artists are vital to the growth and longevity of the Pastel Society. This talent can be from any background; what we want to see is enthusiasm, technical skill, originality and innovation in submissions.” We are delighted that Simon runs our drawing group at the Cambrian Centre, encouraging artistic talent in our local area. If you would like to try out drawing at the Centre it runs on a Friday 10am-12 and costs £8 with a free initial taster session.
