AN UPDATE FROM THE CAMBRIAN COMMUNITY CENTREDear supporter,
If you’ve visited the centre recently you may have noticed that works to the rear of the building have begun and that what was the car parking space is a small and busy building site. This work is to create a newly landscaped open space as part of the Alms Houses development by the Richmond Charities. This has also led to a decrease in available parking spaces to the rear of the Centre. With this in mind, we would like to remind you all that there is unrestricted parking in Grove Road and Queens Road and Blue Bagde parking to the front of the Centre in Cambrian Road. Our Stay and Play session has been running since the end of January, and we are pleased to welcome parents/carers with their children to enjoy the centres fun, safe and education setting weekly during term time from 9:30-11:30am. We have welcomed local resident Louise as a new member of staff to help run these sessions as Stay and Play Leader. Gym Opening Hours From Tuesday April 1st we will be changing the opening times of the gym, this is not a decision we have taken lightly, and we hope that these changes will not cause too much disturbance to your gym use. The revised gym opening times from this date will be: Monday 9am-3pm Tuesday 9am-3pm Wednesday 9am-3pm Thursday 9am-5pm Friday 9am-3pm Saturday 10am-2pm Sunday Closed Thursday Gentle Weights Class Our gentle weights class has seen some changes over the past 6 months, and we unfortunately need to change the class times. Again, this is not a decision we take lightly, and the regular group attendees have been asked for their feedback regarding these changes. We can confirm that from April 1st, the Thursday gentle weights class will run by Becky from 12noon-1pm. Date for your Diary Please pencil in Saturday 7th June in your diaries as we will be holding a celebration to reaffirm the Twinning of Richmond with the French town of Fontainebleau and German town of Konstanz as part of the boroughs programme of events over that weekend. More details of the event will be shared with you nearer the time, but we will be celebrating French and German culture and food as well as showcasing what it available at the Centre. Come and support the Centre whilst learning more about Richmond's Twinned towns.
