Hi all,

As many of you know the Cambrian Community Centre runs a varied activity programme (the CAP- Community Activity Programme) from the Centre. This currently comprises Choir, PiIates, Gentle yoga, Table Tennis, Creative Writing, Gentle weights, Chair Yoga, Drawing and Cardiac Exercise.

All of these activities are run on a subsidised basis and we have been lucky to have been in receipt of grant funding for the last few years to maintain the low class fees. This coming year unfortunately we don’t have grant support in place. This has necessitated a price increase from 1^st September for all paid activity classes. This will be £1 across the board for all paid classes taking fees to;

£8 for Choir, Pilates, Gentle Yoga, Gentle weights, Chair Yoga and Cardiac Exercise

£8.50 for Creative Writing

£9 for Drawing

Free groups- IE Table Tennis aren’t affected by this change.

In addition to this we will introducing a bursary scheme for people who may struggle with increasing costs. This will provide a 50% discount for any paid CAP session. It will be offered to anyone on means tested benefits or on a low monthly income and is accessed via a short application form. Please do contact us for further information on this.

In time we will be offering bulk discounts for CAP activities as we move into using the Lemon Booking system. This is likely to involve a 9 for 10 offer for activities. This will become available as we move groups onto the Lemon Boooking system.

We hope you understand this difficult decision. It is important that our activities are delivered on a sustainable basis and this price rise will help to ensure we can continue to offer low cost and high quality activities from the centre.

Please also be aware that we continue to operate a voluntary donation scheme that will be used to support the centre costs. If you ae in a position to support the centre through this please do let us know.
