Update on the relocation of the gym during the refurbishment.

Dear Centre User, 

As you know we are working hard to identify a start date for the refurbishment works to improve your centre and gym.  Whilst we have obtained planning permission and the necessary funding for the refurbishment there are some elements pre-refurbishment that we are not in control of which are impacting the identification of a start date. 

However, we are working with our local colleagues and organisations with spaces and venues to hire to find temporary locations for all centre activities so that we can continue to provide your much-loved activities with as little disruption as possible. 

We have been able to secure the use of the Choir Vestry at St. Matthias Church, and we will be relocating the gym to the Choir Vestry throughout the refurbishment.  We are investing a significant portion of the reserves set aside for the refurbishment period in ensuring that the gym can continue to function. We expect all but one or two items of equipment to fit in this reduced space; opening hours are likely to be unchanged, with likely capacity of 5 users per hour. 

Once we have more information to share with you all we will.  We are aware that this uncertainty may be concerning you, and we will update you again when we have any further information.
