Cambrian Centre Newsletter

Dear Supporter

I would like to start this e-bulletin by thanking you for supporting the Cambrian Community Centre with the recent jumble sale and stall at the May Fair on Richmond Green. As ever you were generous with both donations and time. We raised over £2,000 from these two events and Barclays Bank is again supporting the Centre by donating an additional £1,000 through their community matchfunding scheme.

Activities at the Centre: These continue to develop and the two recent additions, singing (Monday 1pm-3pm) and Tai Chi (Wednesday beginners 12.30pm-1.30pm and intermediate 1.30pm-2.30pm) are proving popular. Please visit our website to see the full programme. The results of our fundraising events are used to support the activity programme and keep session charges to an affordable level.

Richmond Parish Lands Charity Funding is offered for those on means tested benefits who would like to access our gym (see ).  Please contact me (  or 020 8948 3351)  if you would like further details on this valuable support.

25th Anniversary Events:
As you will be aware from recent e-bulletins the Centre is celebrating being open for twenty-five years in 2014. There is a programme of events being planned to celebrate this important milestone. The first event is an informal social on Saturday 21st June at 7.30pm open to all who attend or support the Centre. Please bring a plate of food and a bottle to share. RSVP to either the gym team or me via the office.

25th Anniversary Raffle and Formal Event on 20th September:
Cambrian Friends
(a small and very hardworking band of supporters) have been working hard to organise and to source prizes for our 25th Anniversary Appeal Raffle. The raffle was launched at the May Fair and will be drawn at the more formal celebratory event planned for Saturday 20th September. Please reserve this date and look out for a future mailing bringing you more details on the raffle and how you can support it.

Many thanks to you all for your ongoing support.

Mary McDonald,
Manager, Cambrian Community Centre.
