Seasons Greetings!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As 2017 draws to a close, we would like to wish all our users and supporters a very happy Christmas and New Year, and to thank you all for your support. We hope to see you at the Centre in 2018.

One last event of 2017 is the concert given by our Singing for Fun group. This will be held next Monday, 11th December at 1.30pm. The concert will be at the Cambrian Centre and there will be tea and coffee - a great opportunity to get into the festive spirit.

Richmond Park Film:  On Sunday 26th November the film Richmond Park, National Nature Reserve was shown at the Centre to a capacity audience. This beautiful 20 minute film features David Attenborough who was also its narrator. It was made by the Friends of Richmond Park to highlight the environmental importance of our Park and conservation issues in the face of increasing visitor numbers. After the film, trustees from the Friends responded to questions and comments from the audience.

If you didn't see it at the Centre, or want to see it again, it will be shown on Christmas Day at 12.30 pm on London Live TV, and again on Boxing Day at 10.00 am.  It can also be found on YouTube by searching for Richmond Park Film, and DVDs are on sale at the Richmond Park Visitor Centre near Pembroke Lodge for just £5.

Finally, the film has been entered for the 2018 Charity Film Awards, and every single vote counts.  Voting takes just a couple of minutes: TO VOTE, go to: Please tell your friends and family and spread the word!

Gym Closure over Christmas/New Year: The gym will be closed from 23rd to 26th December (inclusive) and from 30th December until 2nd January (inclusive). From the 27th to the 29th December the gym is open from 10am to 1pm only. From Tuesday 2nd January onward normal hours will apply.

SAVE THE DATE! Saturday 3rd March. We are repeating the very successful Supper Quiz that we have held for the last two years. Everybody will be welcome. Come and join a table or bring your friends. Further details to follow early in 2018.

Activities. 2017 has seen Tai Chi return to our timetable (Wednesday 1.30pm-2.30pm- £4 per session). In addition we now have a Creative Writing Group on the last Tuesday of the month 1pm-3pm, £5 per session. In 2018 we are hoping to start Yoga sessions - day and time yet to be agreed. Once confirmed the details will be included on our website.
