The Cambrian Centre has introduced a new system to reserve your place on a class or activity and to pay for it online. The system is called Lemon Booking.
The system will enable us to better manage class numbers and avoid the administrative effort required to match attendance records with payments. We will continue to offer pay-as-you-go (PAYG) participation.
If you are new to a class, you are entitled to a free taster session – you do not need to register for a Lemon Booking account or sign up to the class. Please get in touch with the Centre Manager, David Lemon, to arrange the session – contact details in the sidebar. If you enjoy the session and want to continue, you will then need to register for an account and sign up and pay online. If you already have an account because you use the gym or participate in another activity, you do not need to register again.
All activities other than Table Tennis are now managed through Lemon Booking. The system is being extended to the gym in early 2026.
Please note that Lemon Booking uses the word “booking” for room hire only – you “sign up” to reserve a place on a class or activity.

Do I need to register separately with Lemon Booking for each class I wish to attend?
No, your registration enables you to sign up to any class shown in the schedule of classes. For example, you could sign up to classes for Yoga and Weights. If you decide you want to attend more than one type of class, please change the customer group in your profile to “Multiple” rather than the group you first registered with.
I have logged in to my account with Lemon Booking. Why can I not see the Cambrian Centre logo?
On small screens, such a smart phone, or using a computer with a browser that is zoomed in, the Cambrian logo and the menu on the left-hand side may be replaced by three horizontal lines. Click on these to reveal the logo and the menu.
Can I sign up to more than one session of a class at a time?
Yes, you can sign up to as many sessions as you like of any class shown in the schedule, which lists upcoming classes for the next 32 days. Sign up to the first class and then choose “Confirm & Add More Classes”. When you have added all the classes you want to attend, click “Confirm and Pay Now”.
Can I sign up for a place on a class just before it starts?
It depends on what you mean by “just before”. The latest you can sign up for a class is 15 minutes before it starts. If you attend without a sign up and there is space in the class, you will be accepted and can be signed up retrospectively by the tutor or by a staff member but you will need to pay separately.
If a class session is full, can I add my name to a waiting list?
No. Lemon Booking does not at present have a waiting list feature. You can check the site again within 24 hours of the time the class is due to start to see if there have been any cancellations. Tutors are also informed of cancellations and, depending on the class, your tutor may be willing to let you know if a place becomes free.
Do I need to enter my card details for each class session for which I sign up?
No. As explained in answer to the question “Can I sign up to more than one session of a class at a time?” you can sign up to more than one session of the same, or a different, class and pay for them all together. In addition, for most classes, we offer a Class Pass which, in return for an up-front payment, entitles you to sign up for 10 sessions of the same class for the price of 9.
What cards do you accept for online payment?
Our payment processor is SumUp. All major debit and credit cards are accepted included Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Some card issuers, but not all, will insist on sending a one-time code to authorise any online payment.
Can I pay by bank transfer or by card in person?
We want everyone to sign up and pay for their classes online. One of the main reasons for adopting the system is to do away with the administrative effort needed to reconcile attendance data with separate information about payments.
Can I cancel my sign up if circumstances change?
Yes, cancellation is permitted at any time until 24 hours before the class is due to start. Click on the “X” symbol the right of your sign up in the “Your Classes” screen. After 24 hours cancellation is not possible but if you unable to attend due to sudden illness, you can ask the Centre Manager to roll over (transfer) your sign up (and the associated payment) to a future class.
Can I hire a room at the Centre for a party using Lemon Booking?
Lemon Booking is able to manage room hire but we have not yet implemented this feature. Our current focus is moving all of our classes on to Lemon Booking. Once this is done we will consider extending its use to other activities. So, if you want to hire a room, please contact the Centre Manager – details in the sidebar.
