Formerly the Workhouse Gym and established in 1989, this friendly exercise facility became part of the Cambrian Centre in 2002, providing a bespoke service for users of all abilities and ages in an informal and comfortable atmosphere. We have a great reputation within the community including GPs and other health professionals in the Borough.
Members can enjoy the benefit of highly qualified and experienced staff providing instruction and advice on exercise programmes, designed to improve fitness and well being. You will find a selection of testimonials here.
We have a range of equipment including 3 bicycles, 1 treadmill, a rowing machine, a cross trainer and an arm bike, as well as a variety of strength equipment.

All memberships are subject to a £10 induction, which includes a fitness check and bespoke programme prescription.

Cardiac Phase IV Rehabilitation
These gentle Phase IV exercise programmes are specifically designed for those who have had a heart problem and have been through Phase III of a cardiac rehabilitation programme. You will need a referral from your GP or a Phase III Health Professional (if you have previously attended a class at hospital). All exercise programmes are supervised and progressed at your pace by BACPR trained staff.
