Using the gym
Please follow the points below:
- The number of Users in the Gym at any one time is limited to 6.
- Use of the Gym requires reserving a session (signing up) in advance using Lemon Booking by following the links below. Sessions can be booked up to 32 days in advance. “Walk in” sessions are not permitted.
- Gym Sessions start on the hour and last for 55 minutes, leaving time for the last group of users to vacate the Gym before the next group enters.
- Entry to the gym is by the Cambrian Road Gate
- Please do not arrive too early for your session – there is a waiting area outside the Gym next to Cambrian Road but you will not be permitted to enter the building. In bad weather the gym instructor may invite you to wait in the corridor outside the gym. Please leave promptly at the end of your session.
- We do not accept cash payments. Gym Users must either pay online using Lemon Booking or apply for an annual or rolling monthly membership, payable by standing order.
- We continue to ask Gym Users to “do their bit” both in respect of personal hygiene (using hand sanitisers before a session) and wiping down equipment used. Cleaning products (sprays, hand sanitiser, paper towels) will be provided.
- Water is available in the Gym but please bring your own personal bottle.
- At busy times individual Gym users must not stay on the cross-trainer, treadmills, arm bike or rowing machine for longer than 10 minutes per session to allow others an opportunity to use them.
Signing up for a gym session
Please note that use of the Gym is conditional upon a prior INDUCTION. Do not register with Lemon Booking or sign up to a Gym Session until this has been arranged. Please ring the Gym on 020 8948 3351 (Option 1) to arrange an induction session or to discuss your circumstances.
After signing up for a gym Session you will receive a confirmation email with the time and date of the session. Check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox. You may cancel a session and get a refund if you paid online at any time up to 24 hours before a session.
As spaces are limited, multiple sessions reserved and not attended, or cancelled, may result in suspension..
By signing up for a Gym Session you confirm you have read and understood the operating arrangements set out above and have agreed to comply with them. If you are not seen to adhere to our arrangements you will be asked to leave the Gym. To see how busy a Gym Session is, or to ensure that there are at least 2 slots available in your desired session if you are accompanied, please look to the right of the sign up link in the schedule of Gym Sessions on Lemon Booking.

Do I need to register separately with Lemon Booking if I wish to do, say, Yoga as well as the gym?
No, your registration enables you to sign up to any class shown in the schedule of activities. For example, you could sign up to classes for Yoga and Weights as well as the gym. If you decide you want to attend more than one type of class, please change the customer group in your profile to “Multiple” rather than the group you first registered with.
I have logged in to my account with Lemon Booking. Why can I not see the menu?
On small screens, such a smart phone, or using a computer with a browser that is zoomed in, the Cambrian logo and the menu on the left-hand side may be replaced by three horizontal lines. Click on these to reveal the logo and the menu.
Can I sign up to more than one gym session at a time?
Yes, you can sign up to as many sessions as you like shown in the schedule, which lists upcoming sessions/classes for the next 32 days. Sign up to the first session/class and then choose “Confirm & Add More Classes”. When you have added all the sessions you want to attend, click “Confirm and Pay Now”.
Can I sign up for a place on a session just before it starts?
It depends on what you mean by “just before”. The latest you can sign up for a session is 15 minutes before it starts. If you attend without a sign up and there is space in the session, you will be accepted and can be signed up retrospectively by the gym instructor but you will need to pay separately.
If a class session is full, can I add my name to a waiting list?
No. Lemon Booking does not at present have a waiting list feature. You can check the site again within 24 hours of the time the class is due to start to see if there have been any cancellations. Gym instructor are informed of cancellations and may be able to let you know if a place becomes free.
Do I need to enter my card details for each class session for which I sign up?
No. As explained in answer to the question “Can I sign up to more than one session at a time?” you can do this and then pay for them all together.
What cards do you accept for online payment?
Our payment processor is SumUp. All major debit and credit cards are accepted included Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Some card issuers, but not all, will insist on sending a one-time code to authorise any online payment.
Can I pay by bank transfer or by card in person?
We want everyone to sign up and pay for their classes online. One of the main reasons for adopting the system is to do away with the administrative effort needed to reconcile attendance data with separate information about payments.
Can I cancel my sign up if circumstances change?
Yes, cancellation is permitted at any time until 24 hours before the class is due to start. Click on the “X” symbol to the right of your sign up in the “Your Classes” screen. After 24 hours cancellation is not possible but if you are unable to attend due to sudden illness, you can ask the Gym Manager to roll over (transfer) your sign up (and the associated payment) to a future class.
Can I hire a room at the Centre for a party using Lemon Booking?
Lemon Booking is able to manage room hire but we have not yet implemented this feature. Our current focus is moving all of our classes, including gym sessions, on to Lemon Booking. Once this is done we will consider extending its use to other activities. So, if you want to hire a room, please contact the Centre Manager – details in the sidebar.
