Refurbishment News

Following the huge success of our renovated kitchen, the Cambrian Community Centre is to embark on an ambitious refurbishment that will transform its layout and facilities to benefit Centre users and expand our services for the community.

The project will provide more inside space and better access to the outside area. The interior will be refreshed and modernised to enhance the accessibility and attractiveness of our thriving neighbourhood hub for leisure, fitness and cultural activities.

We have worked hard to keep the gym and our activities available during the period of refurbishment and have been able to make arrangements to move the Gym to a suitable room at St Matthias Church. Our other activities will continue to be offered from various venues we are hiring for this purpose with all of these venues being wheelchair accessible.

The gym will be open at the Centre up to and including Wednesday 21st October and will then reopen in St Matthias Church on Monday 26th October. Other activities will be available at the Centre in the week prior to Monday 26th and then will be available in their new venues from Monday 26th October.

More details of the alternative venues and how to get to them are available on the website: Activities timetable & locations or from staff at the Centre.

We will continue to welcome new people to the gym and to our activities during the refurbishment.

The gym and activities booking arrangements via the website will remain the same. The Wednesday Social Session is free open access and there is no need to book – just turn up.

If you have any questions please contact the Centre Manager, David Lemon, at manager@cambriancentre.org or on 0208 948 3351.

We will keep you updated on the refurbishment as it progresses.

We hope the arrangements we have made will enable you to keep involved with the Gym and Activities during the refurbishment and we cannot wait to welcome you back to the transformed Centre after the refurbishment.
