To all Cambrian Gym Users,

As we recruit for a new member of the gym team it is likely that the gym will be closed on the following dates:

Wednesday 23rd February

Thursday 24th February (Paul on leave)

Friday 25th February

And potentially the following dates;

Wednesday 2nd March

Friday 4th March

We are very sorry about this disruption and appreciate your understanding. We expect to get back to normal opening days and times very soon. A further update will be sent out next week.

Cancellation

Unfortunately, due to the current Covid situation we are cancelling the Jolly Cambrian Christmas open afternoon event on the 18th December. It is a great shame and we are very disappointed.

We wish all of you a very Happy Christmas and really hope we can have a less disrupted New Year in 2022!

A Jolly Cambrian Christmas

We would be delighted if you could join us for our Christmas event “A Jolly Cambrian Christmas” on either the afternoon/evening of the 17th December or on the afternoon of the 18th December. The weekend will involve ballet and capoeira performances, carols and Christmas tunes, art displays, a poetry reading, stalls, a Christmas raffle and of course mulled wine and mince pies! Please come along for a festive treat!

The Cambrian Community Centre is looking for a volunteer Treasurer and Trustees

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a local charity working to improve wellbeing and social cohesion through health and leisure activities.

New Lockdown Requirements

We expect that most of you will have heard the latest government announcement about a second nationwide lockdown from Thursday 5th November. Although MPs will be voting on this on Wednesday, the guidance already issued indicates the mandatory closure of gym facilities.  We will be discussing the detail as further information becomes available however we have halted the ability to book gym sessions from close of play on Wednesday 4th November.

Groups Restarting from September

We are delighted to announce that many of our popular activity groups will be restarting from September. This begins with our drawing group on 4th September. All activity groups must complete a risk assessment before restarting. There will also be a number of changes to the way groups are run including the changes to the layout of the Centre.

We don’t expect all groups to restart at the same time and there will be a gradual return to a full programme at the Centre.

Further updates will be posted as we develop the reopening of the Centre over the next few weeks.

Thanks for your patience and we are really looking forward to seeing you again soon!
